The people you'll meet at LUMI.

Our teachers aren't here to perform. They're here to guide you — with warmth, expertise, and a genuine care for how you feel when you leave. Every one of them chose this work because they believe movement changes things. You'll feel it in the first class.

Meet the teachers

Johanna

Johanna's classes have a reputation at LUMI: you will work harder than you planned, laugh more than you expected, and leave wondering why you feel so good.

A certified yoga and Pilates teacher, breathwork instructor and holistic coach with a background in wellness, she brings genuine depth to her teaching but never takes herself too seriously.

The combination is rare: classes that are both challenging and genuinely fun, grounding and uplifting at once. She has a gift for dissolving the stress of the week without you even noticing it's happening.

Pilates

Rabea

If you've ever felt nervous about walking into your first yoga class, Rabea is exactly the teacher you need to meet.

She has a rare quality — the ability to make a room full of strangers feel immediately at ease, seen, and cared for.

Her classes are unhurried and deeply attentive, designed to restore rather than deplete. Whether she's guiding a complete beginner through their very first downward dog or holding space in a long Yin hold, she brings the same steady, warm presence: patient, clear, and genuinely invested in how you feel. You leave her classes softer — in your body and in your day.

Yoga

Ilaria

Ilaria spent fifteen years as a professional dancer and choreographer performing across Europe and Asia — and that depth of body knowledge is entirely at your service in her Pilates classes.

She teaches with precision and a big heart, taking the time to explain exactly what each movement does and why. You leave not just worked, but genuinely understanding your own body better.

For expectant and new mothers, her Mama Pilates classes are a rare find — specialist knowledge of pregnancy and postpartum recovery, delivered with warmth and care.

Pilates

Pauline

Pauline approaches teaching the way she approaches her own practice: with curiosity, lightness, and a genuine openness to what each session brings. Her classes are breath-led and grounding, with space to explore and options for every level.

Her background as an educator gives her a natural ease in the room — she explains clearly, holds space warmly, and makes movement feel playful without ever losing the stillness underneath. That same quality carries into her kids yoga classes, where her calm and joyful presence makes even the youngest students feel right at home.

You leave her classes feeling settled in your body and quietly reconnected to yourself.

Yoga

Bucci

Bucci came to Pilates after years as a personal trainer and fitness coach — and the moment she did, something clicked. The precision, the structure, the way every movement has a purpose: it was everything she already believed about training, distilled into its purest form.

She brings that same rigour to her classes at LUMI. Her sessions are impeccably structured, she won't let a single rep slide, and her natural energy and warm presence make even the most demanding moments feel motivating rather than punishing.

You leave feeling worked to exactly the right degree, and quietly proud of it.

Pilates

Loren

Yoga

Loren came to yoga the way many of us do: through life asking something difficult of her. What she found on the mat, she's spent years learning how to pass on.

With over 500 hours of yoga teacher training, specialist qualifications in children's yoga, and a background rooted in psychology, counselling, and breathwork, she brings a rare combination of depth and warmth to everything she teaches. Before joining LUMI, she worked as a school counsellor and learning support teacher in Malawi, and developed a children's mindfulness programme in South Africa: work that shapes the way she holds space, for any age.

In her yoga classes, you'll feel that care. A steadiness. An attentiveness to what you actually need on the day.

What to expect in a LUMI class?

Every teacher is different — but the feeling is always the same. You will be guided, not pushed. Your teacher will offer variations so you can work at your own pace, in your own body, on that particular day.

You don't need experience. You don't need to be flexible. You don't need to have done this before. You just need to show up.

If it's your first class, say hello before you begin. Our teachers love meeting new faces — and they'll remember yours.
